2013 Mount Hood Area Travel — 7/22 Eagle Creek Trail（二）Punchbowl Falls

Continue on the main trail 0.3 mile to a ridge-end junction with the Lower Punchbowl Trail, a 0.2-mile side trail down to a broad, 15-foot falls with a bedrock bank suitable for sunbathing. Hike upstream to a gravel beach to peer ahead to picturesque, 30-foot Punchbowl Falls in a huge, mossy rock bowl.

Punchbowl Falls。想看這個瀑布，應該是有小路可以走下去，在Google裡看到的照片都是在下面拍的。

沒有明顯的標示，我們並不清楚走下去要多久和從哪一條小路走

這是我盡可能靠邊照的，在懸崖邊照相，命還是比較重要！

Punchbowl 的由來應該是因為這個吧？

Punch Bowl Falls, where water spills 100 feet into a blue-green pool set in a large grotto. Jumping or diving off of Punchbowl Falls is strictly prohibited. Also, dogs are required to be on leash. Each year several unleashed dogs fall off of or chase other dogs off of the steep cliffs.

女兒膽子比我大，往下照到了那池子，或許那才是命名的由來。

可惜事先沒做足夠的功課，否則怎會錯過這麼多美景。還好以後在美國玩的機會還不少，應該有機會再次一遊，補齊我們沒走完整的Trail！
