2013 Mount Hood Area Travel — 7/22 Eagle Creek Trail（三）Loowit Falls & High Bridge

This pretty waterfall is located about 3 miles from the trailhead on the Eagle Creek Trail. This part of the trail is blasted out of the rock and the open area provides a wonderful view across the canyon. Loowit Creek cascades about 90 feet into a small pool, then slides over the rock a few more feet into Eagle Creek.

從Punchbowl Falls再走1 mile，就來到了Loowit Falls & High Bridge這個區域。

Loowit Falls是在峽谷的對面，從我們這側應該不容易走過去，但奇怪的是回程時竟然看到有人在池子邊玩水，真不知是怎麼走過去的。

在我買的那本書（100 Classic Hikes in Oregon）裡，作者將Tanner Butte和Eagle Creek合成一個loop（Tanner Butte-Eagle Creek Loop）。原以為是從Loop的另一側（Tunner Butte）有路可以走過來，但剛才查看之後覺得沒有任何可能性，應該還是從這邊下到溪谷底，過了溪之後再往上爬到這個瀑布。

仔細看看，發覺瀑布旁應該也有另一道水流，但因為是沿著岩石緩緩流下，所以無法形成瀑布，但卻也造就了岩石上的一片綠意！

我還蠻喜歡著個瀑布，尤其是瀑布下的那一潭池水，在炎炎夏日讓人看了透心涼！

已經走了3.2 miles了，兒子似乎有些餓了，但背包中除了巧克力之外，我們沒準備午餐（這是一大敗筆）。

這就是High Bridge。High Bridge, which traverses a narrow gorge, 150 feet above the creek.

High Bridge下的峽谷和溪水

Near the base of Loowit Falls, 15 foot High Bridge Falls is visible on Eagle Creek itself. The short, blocky somewhat violent High Bridge Falls makes a nice contrast to lacy Loowit Falls. There's a viewpoint a bit farther on the trail looking over High Bridge Falls with Loowit Falls in the background.

看來我們也是錯過了High Bridge Falls！
