2018 Death Valley National Park — 5/26 Artists Drive （四）Artists Palette

在Artists Drive差不多開了5miles之後，我們來到了Artists Palette（調色盤）

This is where all of the colors come through in the mountain, and it is crazy to see them all collect right in this one specific canyon.（這是我在網路上看到某個部落客所寫的評語）

The colors are produced by the oxidation of the metals and elements found in the ground here, and it produces everything from purple and blue to even a slight green.

這邊的顏色真的很漂亮，但是當我到Google查看照片時發覺，有好多顏色更美的照片，它們也是在這邊拍攝的，但我們並沒有看到呀？

There is a small parking lot that will let you get out and walk down to where the colors start.

原來不同的季節、時間甚至下雨都會影響到這裡的色彩（應該是這些礦物質會被雨水沖刷和風蝕）！

當然還有我們只在停車場旁的四周看，根本不知道這裡是可以隨意走下去，可以看到更多的色彩。這是該怪我們沒做好功課？還是說太守法不敢逾雷池一步？

You can walk around and climb the small hills or just look over it from the parking lot.

有一點是可以抱怨的，就是國家公園提供的Visitor Guide所給的資訊太少了，害我們都不知道這裡是可以hiking的。

當然也會有人說，有多少人會在死谷裡Hiking呢？是的，若是七、八月或許會要人命，但是此時（五月）我們感覺氣溫還好，走個半小時到一小時的來回應該不是問題。

眼前的這些應該不是hiking trail，這應該是下雨所沖刷出來的水道！

乾枯的水道真的很適合讓我們往裡面探索，雖說遺憾但至少以後還是有機會能再次一遊，下次一定要走進去！
